Intro

Chippy is a strategic healthcare leader with experience in health policy, procurement and market access across Australia and New Zealand. She leads social value assessments and develops strategic market access and policy advice. 

Biography

Chippy is a Technical Lead, Strategy and Social Impact, at HTANALYSTS. She previously managed New Zealand’s national pharmaceutical budget and complex market access decisions. Her background spans clinical practice, commercial strategy and public value assessment. She focuses on practical, evidence-informed decision making.

At HTANALYSTS, Chippy leads the firm’s work in New Zealand. Her role includes portfolio prioritisation, reimbursement submissions and strategic policy advice. She applies a social value lens to policy reviews and impact assessments across Australia and New Zealand. This helps clients understand the wider system and community impacts of health investment decisions. She is an accredited Social Value Associate with Social Value International.

Before joining HTANALYSTS in 2025, Chippy held senior positions in New Zealand’s public health system. Her work covered COVID-19 therapies, dermatology, endocrinology, immunisation, oncology, respiratory and rheumatology. She led national initiatives, including the transition from originator trastuzumab (Herceptin) to a biosimilar. She also supported the successful reimbursement of Trikafta. Her strength lies in navigating complex stakeholder environments and delivering sustainable portfolio and procurement outcomes.

Chippy holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences with Management from Imperial College London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Business from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. Her experience also includes clinical work in the UK National Health Service, international consulting and presenting research at the British Medical Journal Leaders in Healthcare Conference.
