Dr Kate Nolan is a Technical Lead at HTANALYSTS, she has experience with systematic review, feasibility assessments, PBAC and MSAC applications.

Dr Kate joined HTANALYSTS as a Consultant in 2022 and has since progressed to Technical Lead, focusing on market access projects. She has led multiple PBAC and MSAC submissions, including diagnostic MSAC submissions that achieved reimbursement approval.

Kate has a strong understanding of the Australian market access landscape. She has delivered market access strategy and feasibility projects, analysing pricing benchmarks, payer precedents and competitive landscapes to shape strategy and maximise commercial opportunity. Her experience includes engaging key opinion leaders and advisory boards to validate health economic models and refine market access approaches.

She also leads Prescribed List submissions, providing strategic guidance on pricing and regulatory positioning under updated PL guidelines. In addition, she contributes to systematic reviews and clinical guideline development.

Before joining HTANALYSTS, Kate was a post-doctoral research associate in the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Sydney, where she completed her PhD in pharmacology. Her research focused on natural product-based drug discovery for secondary iron overload and metallo-radionuclide imaging in cancer. She has also lectured and tutored across pharmacology and medical science programmes.
