Michael Hannelly

Intro

Michael is a Intern with HTANALYSTS. He is versatile and adaptable, with broad experience across pre-clinical pharmacology, clinical trials and pharmaceutical manufacturing. He brings a continuous improvement mindset from a background in Quality. His strong understanding of clinical data from operation of early-phase trials has enabled him to collaborate effectively and efficiently with internal stakeholders and clients alike.

Biography

Michael joined HTANALYSTS as a Health Economics & Outcomes Research Intern in January 2025. His role in Quality for a pharmaceutical manufacturer saw him apply exceptional attention to detail to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Michael developed his understanding of how scientific concepts are applied to protocol development and public health in coordinating early-phase clinical trials, ensuring the accurate capturing and management of data to support clinical programmes for clients. He further developed his versatile and adaptable communication style within multidisciplinary study teams.

Michael has attained a Bachelor of Science with majors in Medical Science and Pharmacology, in addition to Class I Honours from the University of Sydney. His Honours thesis focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of a potential target for chronic neuropathic pain through a structural biology lens. Michael is currently studying a Master of Science in Medicine (Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development) to further his knowledge in the regulatory, clinical and development aspects of the therapeutics industry.
